Parents and guardians face a few recurring problems when finding childcare:
MyAsuh set out to provide safe services with affordable rates, strategic locations and convenience to parents and guardians.
I conducted online interviews and surveys to understand parents and guardians. Some guardians complained about having to send their child to a day care that is far from both their house and their work. Others had issues signing up their child for monthly child care because they work from home or have flexible working hours.
The research also revealed that location and time were not the only factors limiting guardians, but also the trustworthiness of the child day care — there have been many issues with non-certified babysitters abusing the kids.
The flow of the app is simple and straightforward to cater for majority users, which mostly consist of elders, providing age-friendly interfaces.
Paper wireframes help envision the placement of information and determine what content should be showcased prior to finalizing the visual design.
Before designing, a simple and minimal UI was created to ensure design consistency.
These success metrics provide a comprehensive framework for evaluating the impact of design decisions on user experience and overall app performance.

What I Learned:
While designing the MyAsuh mobile app, I tried to focus more on the end users, which is parents and guardians, but failed to think of the other side of users — the babysitters. After conducting the usability study, I learned to include a different interface and sign-up page for babysitters.
